I did 160mph in my p38 with the sunroof fully open and the wife got sucked out. Venturi effect I believe, she was not amused.

It's off my scrapper, it was full of water rom the cracked head and rusted solid, I took it apart just to have a look.

If all else fails there is always the 240 air con (2 windows open 40mph )

I have got a turbo in bits on the bench, it's surprising how much gunge there is on the intake side.

May be a sticking wastegate and the cleaner cleared the gunge out

Never thought of that. Bit surprised it did anything as it has enough oil going through it.

My heater matrix on my P38 is currently leaking from the o rings after we changed the radiators. Is it an easy fix ?

Map pipe cleaned and ok, inlet gaskets replaced. As I've said in previous post power back and now a lot quieter after running cleaner through turbo

I think I would be looking at map pipe or inlet gaskets next. Possibly the intercooler itself as RRDT suggested.

I take it the two potentiometers you are talking about are the tiny ones I have circled in the photo below. Good luck trying to tweak those without a calibrated test rig.
