I'm quite ancient but still going long distances by bus, bush taxi, 4x4, roller skates.
Lately: Wigan, UK to The Chinese border via Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Karakorum Mountains. Then India, Nepal. Also Route 66. Old Silk Road. Grand Trunk Road. Intend go Cape Town to UK by Landy (if I can find one cheap enough for my old age pension. Have done opposite way down as far as The Gambia and included Mali.
