Hub is all back together and car has been driven. No more clicky clicky grind crunch!
Thank you everyone for putting up with me!
To end the week, i just renewed insurance lower than last year!
Just need to get it tracked at the garage
Low resistance is normally the heater coil inside the sensor fusing together. Very very rarely wiring or connector issues. New sensor of the correct specification should sort that code, and as said earlier, will function fine once warmed up by...
The siren in my Saab failed for dead batteries and just sounded off, usually at 3am or when driving past police cars. May have a look to see if I can buy a new one as they're often glued together.
I like the chirps/beeps when locking and unlocking, extra peace of mind the car does what i want it to.
The keys were knackered when I bought the car and the fuse for the siren was pulled so it didn't sound when the previous owner got into the...
Hi guys.
2006 Vogue TD6
Bit of a strange one, got an intermittent siren issue.
The siren sometimes beeps with the central locking and sounds off if I open the doors using the key.
Other times it doesn't do anything.
Anyone had this issue...
Being new to a TD6 myself, I didn't know about the airbox trick. Will keep that in mind for the next time I'm threatening to set fire to the truck.
Thanks for the tip 😃
I second the left hand drill bits. I keep a decent stockpile of them for exactly this reason. If you get brass guides as well that can save the holes and threads of the block as they can help keep the drill centred. I'm lucky enough to have...
Looking at the engine from the front, the turbo is on the left of the engine.
The pressure hose comes off the turbo and into the intercooler at the front bottom left. The second hose comes out the intercooler bottom right and goes up to the egr...
Pressure tested the AC last week with UV dye and the condenser looks like an 80s pop star that had been shot with a shotgun. Holes everywhere. New condenser fitted today, regass, evaporated temp down to 1°.
Now we'll have 6 months of rain and cold.
If its largely been laid up, you have had a good look around that's rats or mice haven't chewed on the wiring etc or haven't made a nest in the air pipework or exhaust?
Only asking as I have witnessed all of these over the years and we tend to...
Round here they've cut back on staff on only deliver every 2 or 3 days depending where abouts you live. Special deliveries it's a guy running around in a van but normal 24/48 service can take 3 days.
Can buy printers quite cheap now. The first one i bout about 8 months ago for £80. This new one was £1300 but in my eyes it has been worth every penny. A lot of things I've made i couldn't buy or weren't suitable, so being able to design and...
Physical strength it's very similar, along with temp, chemical resistance etc. The main advantage is UV resistance. It apparently doesn't discolour like abs so doesn't need paint etc.
It's a bitch to print though, does need a chamber/enclosure...
The 3d printer is possibly one of the best toys I've ever bought. Done wheel hub spacers, bonnet badges, various clips and mounts, custom designed brake vacuum adapter for a 12v vacuum pump to delete the mechanical one, coolant bottle caps...
Today I have mostly been 3d printing replacement parts for the 322.
Namely replacement studs for the scuttle panel and clip down points for the boot floor.
Also 3d printed a instrument cluster mount to use a lcd panel and raspberry pi as the...
Just a quick follow up. Finally got the tank level down to 1/4 tank (yes, it's not used much) and it's still running properly so looks like there was an issue with the fuel pump not siphoning fuel from one side of the tank.
Time to start fixing...
