Eh?? It's a Land Rover;);)

ERR7247 I think. Maybe the ring was thieved from the box. Happened to me on various parts.

Thank you for confirming that. And good luck with your oil pump bolt. Don’t envy you, at least mine is all accessible from the top!

Well, it’s happened again, this time from the cylinder head end, last time from the FPR. The diesel slick behind and the diesel stink made me think something may be wrong!! Luckily I was only a road from home and just got into the drive. The power steering gave up from all the diesel on the...

You are correct! From the LR Diesel Engine TD5 manual:
Fracture split con-rods
The con-rod is identical in design to the con-rod fitted to the Freelander L series engine. It is a fracture split con-rod. This means that the big end bearing cap has no machined surface in contact with the...

Mine does as above, I checked recently. As far as I’m aware, it’s as built.

Just checked, mine is definitely a *4* digit code and it is the R990 radio, which I think is the same as yours, “top of the range” at the time.
I have disconnected the battery since and the code in the manual is the correct one!!

+1 ^ it’s the way I did it when I first got mine. I found the radio code scribbled in the handbook and also the EKA code. You can’t change the radio code as you can the EKA.

A huge mine of experience and knowledge….

From the ignition switch, it goes through fuse 23 in the IDM. From there it goes to the engine bay fuse box and is connected to the starter relay. There appear to be no other connections so it should be fairly easy to trace.
Good luck.

Worth opening a bleed nipple or 2 to see if there is pressure in the system. About the only thing common to all 4 wheels. Master cylinder seized?
Good luck.
