    Update, I loosened the alternator pivot and removed the belt, the spinning part in the middle has play in it and can be moved forwards and backwards about a half inch, what is the solution to the problem?

    Got a question for you guys. I have a 1988 110 petrol V8 model. The metal spinning part of the alternator in the pic attached is making metal on metal contact when spinning and it is making an awful noise from the metal spinning part making contact with metal. How do I fix this issue?
