Hi all. Since purchasing my D2 it's been 'sluggish'. I kind of assumed they were like that since I have limited experience with them! But I've read a lot on here about this sort of performance being related to the MAF sensor. So I took mine off, cleaned it with carb cleaner. Re installed it...

Thanks Sierrafery for all your help and advice on this (and to everyone else too). Very impressive service levels on this forum!!
I wish I could be as confident as you that this is 'end of saga', but given I had 12 months trouble free in between occurances, I'm not sure I will fully relax until...

OK i finally got my local garage to replace the injector washers and seals. Just done over 250kms on it and it has behaved, well, the same as before! Fingers crossed the problem doesnt show up again without warning.

I found another excellent write up of this procedure here:

Understood. Thanks again. I'll report back once that is done eh.

I had some time this weekend so I stripped all the plastic conduit off the wiring so I could inspect it properly. Top end all seems fine to be honest. Ive left it exposed so I can get to it a bit easier at the moment.

Update: (full write up for info only!)
Car just did it to me again. About 50kms from home. Was running fine. Then after about 40kms, a very slight loss of power at first and almost undetectable roughness at 100km/h. (My wife could only tell because of the look on my face!) Gradually worsens and...

Followed your instructions and checked voltage across F10 while running.
22.3 at idle.
Dropping to 22 or 21 while revving at 2000rpm.

UPDATE:
Local mechanic found following faults:
We didn't think either of these were likely related to my problem. But we could be wrong! Someone here might know differently?
Anyway, this is what they did:
AKA not very much!
BUT car has been running OK since then. I say OK. It still feels...

Guys you have all been very helpful.
I have the car booked in to my guy Monday. Since this list is getting long and a bit like chasing ghosts, I'm going to get him to check for fault codes, and clear them. Maybe blow out fuel lines. Replace filter. Check fuel pump pressure. Basically all the...

OK thanks for all this guys. Very helpful. I've reconnected everything up.
I've noticed that the start is now a bit lumpy and occasionally doesn't catch. Car usually starts on first crank. I was reading this other post...

What do people think my injector loom is looking like? A problem or normal? I have no idea. (see photos above)

I mean if it was a problem with those washers, wouldn't I expect to have that issue all the time? Instead it shows up 2 years ago. disappears, and then reappears again randomly.
