We've owned a Series 2A LWB, then a Series 3 with an old Perkins which we managed to fit an LT77 gearbox to and then converted back to a 5-bearing 2 1/4 petrol with standard box and overdrive, then a Defender 110 300TDi, which we sold because it wasn't possible to matriculate it in Spain and was mostly unstoppable and unbreakable, [the best], and now a Disco MkII Landmark, which I don't like yet. Already replaced the alternator, the front prop, in the process of trying to re-waterproof both sunroofs, the auto box leaks and the XYZ switch needs a refurb or replacement, and the Air suspension has just failed. So completely normal LR history I guess.
