what is the best way to get the fault code? I have one of those ebay OBD-ii scanner.. is there anything which is better than that?

I am getting the suspension fault on my Disco 5. The batter is also saying it is very low.
Are they related? If I change the battery would the suspension fault go away or they are 2 seperate issues?
Thanks in advance

I have the standard volume control issue. i am thinking of changing that to something like this
Sony DSX-A202UI Head Unit with 4 x 55 W, USB and Mega Bass - Green
Just wondering would this be a straight swap or need some conversion (double DIN/single DIN) ? also would the steering wheel...

i did this and the spring was so tight and the guide didnt move at all. i thought the spring should be able to absorb little extra length of the cable but it cant take if it is bit longer than it could handle. i am getting another one and try it. otherwise I will be end up in buying the full...

i think the cable is longer than the required length.. apart from that I can think of any other reason for now..

Got the cable. Apparently the plastic holding the regulator is broken. I put the new cable and tested it. It keeps getting tangled. I couldn't put the cable tightly. Any ideas ?
Thanks

i checked the power connection coming to the motor using resistance setting I can see the voltage passing through. but I cannot check the motor as such as I cant reach the motor connection points with it fitted to the door.

Thanks.. just took the door card and could not see any corrosion on the motor .. it looks spot on without any rust (water damage etc).. but when I try to push the switch the motor is not working.. if the cable is damaged or snapped would the motor still works or it won't ? I can see some for...
