Yeah strangely it doesn’t do a lot even when you out they key in, it doesn’t come to life until start is pressed. Only thing that changes is you get a message saying “key docked”
So that says to me that it wasn’t recognising the key is inserted , and is now.
Key dock maybe and maybe the...

Went to start the car today and all ok, weird as you like. Weather has warmed up which is looking like the issue.

It was more just quickly eliminate a problem rather than a permanent solution, it’ll get fixed 100% but atm towing it somewhere is impossible as steering lock is on.

No if I delete the codes and run the codes there’s nothing, codes become recent again once start button is pressed.

I will do footwell fuses in morning I did engine bay earlier and all ok but bailed on footwell as it was hailing and car is sat near a puddle and can’t move it so figured I’d wait.
Interesting on steering lock as I thought it would still illuminate dash and give a message but guess there’s not...

Right ok so can eliminate the key fobs.
No water ingress was hoovered out a day or so before (Tuesday) but drove fine Wednesday.
Just put battery on kindly from my neighbours ranger and still exactly the same so think we can eliminate that also.
If the steering lock had failed would that...

It has just put this code up aswell , would dead battery’s in keys cause it?

Yeah I know what you’re saying as that’s what I thought but I’ve had my car hooked up to it also and it still can’t even light the dash up.
It’s definitely had no crash , well not in the last 18 months or so anyway.

Yes neither fobs are doing it, dock takes and ejects key no problem.
Will get hair dryer on it now, it is really cold to be honest so it doesn’t like something.
Would the steering lock stop dash illuminating though?

Been wiggling the steering wheel all morning 😑
If it is the steering lock stuck would that stop the dash lighting up though?

Morning guys, wife’s FL2 been good as gold since we’ve had it but yesterday we had a cold snap and it’s carried on today (bits of snow and stuff)
Came out to car in morning put key into slot and nothing , no dash lights at all other than immobiliser flashing.
Foot on clutch nothing (only the...

More suspension woes on the disco 3.
It leans to the right over night. So all fuzes left in as normal it leans to the right. Both front and back.
Take fuzes out it leans backwards (and all over but more to back)
I thought it was front shock so yesterday changed it but exactly the same...

Hi guys, said I’d never buy one again but I’ve got one again 😂
Does anyone know where the ride height module is located? Just so I can give that area a kick when it plays up.
Start the car suspension fault restart and it goes but occasionally stays on for a bit longer than wanted.

Hi, I’m about to tackle this, I did a freelander 1 few years ago. Dropped the whole lot out the bottom.
So with this freelander 2, mine is auto also. The gearbox & transfer box just sit there ok while you pull engine out?
