Refilled the gearbox today and surprisingly after having it's valve block bolts tightened it still works LOL.
Photo of refinished sump and for those that have not seen them, photo's of the gearbox under tray and engine under tray.
Brake pads...
You've made me pop out and check mine. Looks brand new but flat as a pancake. I've never touched it in over 10 years. Looks brand new wheel and tyre. Suppose I'd better put some air in it:)
Welcome.
If you fancy a road trip in it, there is a Saturday LZ Freelander meet-up in the next couple of weeks.
You’ll find the thread ‘sticky’ in the Freelander section 👍
There are a couple of FL owners on here north of the border
À good question, depends on exactly what is going on..
Does the noise get louder when you turn or strain the steering.
Do they do land-rover repairs at the hospital? 😜🤣
Blimey yeah!
I’ve been away and completely forget to keep ignoring!
I think @MGT should come along to the meet-up and explain exactly what we’ve all been ignoring!
Sooo, I think I narrowed my electrical worries down a bit, maybe even to the root cause but that's to early to tell for now.
Got a new battery today, and then did some other testing. Everything is working, including the interior lights...
Bugger. Got a screw today! 3mm so not a total disaster, but the other axle is at 5mm tread..
New tyres will be around 8mm? Do i need to worry about the rolling difference?
I love that color!
Well, I managed to plug the trailer socket. Aparently it s too much to ask for normed cables, e.g. for standardized 13 pin sockets, to adhere to a color scheme. At least the pin usage is common between providers...
Anyway...
Hi all in sunny South Lanarkshire Scotland with Freelander 2 2008 anyone else up this neck of the woods had my wee car for 5 years now doing a bit of work to it
