Sure it is in the TDC hole?
A skipped tooth would cause issues.
The cam is set with a 12 thou spacer when tightening the cam stretch bolt. 10 mm is way too much.
I’d ideally avoid them as well. I don’t plan on getting rid of the P38 until the government makes it illegal to drive them - I’ve invested far too much money and blood to pass it on.
I’ll take a look at the Dunlops though. Hopefully they’ll last...
I avoid Autodoc if possible. Arnott Gen 2 are good if you plan on keeping the car long term. They have been on my RHD P38 for around 14 years and still look like new. I got them from P38 Spares, they were on special offer at the time and not...
Thing is I did research it and have given you info as to this may be an issue, I have the part numbers and sizes for both diffs and the 2010 onwards are different.
So you are just thinking I don’t know and am guessing, when actually you are just...

There is only 1 output shaft from any gearbox.
They change to 4wd drive with that fancy thing called a transfer box.
There are many auto boxes used in 2 or 4 wd format.
Your arguments show you shouldn’t be allowed to pickup a spanner.

It could leave you on the side of the road trying to change your diffs on a car that you need, so I feel it is quite relevant.
Not that you ever did start having any technical discussion.

Although this is fun I am seriously considering switching off notification to this thread as I seriously have better things to do than cross swords, or handbags, with this guy with a massive ego problem.
Keep on trucking with it peeps as I will...
So one out of three was actually an SUV?
Well done!
and of course the BMW you mentioned is exactly like a RR, same weight, 4 wheel drive etc etc.
Yep your apples still do look much like oranges to me.
So you "got me" on the Mercedes M class...
