Turns out it’s 390 Portofino / Arrow Red. The discolouration is quite severe, and noticeably different between the steel and aluminium panels. Thanks everyone for the help! I’m sure I’ll be asking plenty of questions as I start working on it.
Gearbox fault is often just low battery volts. The beep at 120kmh is the speed warning that can be set or disabled from the button on the left stalk on the steering column, it's in the owners manual or RAVE. The EDC is always in Robust Mode...
I think @ovalandrover did this swap to one of his.
Some of the HP24 boxes are supposed to be a straight swap but I think the general opnion on here is that some need the input and oil pump assembly swapped over. Never tried it though.
I was think the pump and input shaft as well. The shafts are different lengths. I did consider swapping the internals instead and keeping everything the same length but I'm not sure if the first clutch pack is tailored to the longer input shaft...
There is the possibility you have few problems arising, another possibility is phantoms from low volts. Always worth checking your battery is tip top particularly before using diagnostics
The first rule of thumb is don't bugger around with the Nanocom before reading up on it!!😜
The speed limit warning is changed using the bottom button on the the indicator stalk.
Check the oil level in the gearbox as a precaution, especially after...
Lack of lubrication of the hook that goes over the hasp to hold the door closed has caused problems on mine.
I believe it's possible to cut the hasp with the door closed in order to get it open as a last resort.
Thanks for the reply,
Both the outside handle and the inside one seem to work as normal, it's just that the latch is locked. The door button is in a weird position between locked and unlocked. It only moves ever so much under force, but enough...
I did Basingstoke to Langley on the stops, again no problem albeit a bit uncomfartable.
If we try harder we could get this thread up to a few hundred posts !!
So I did desnow it today, but decided to take the defender to the shops.
But now tomorrow ;). Gonna park the fender out somewhere safe and see if the L322 can do what the tin (never said) but hey if it gets beached the EAS will raise it and out...
The relay is needed for the EAS to work properly. It can be replaced with a normal automotive relay and the system will work but not self-level although it will not talk to diagnostics like that.
Might be worth checking height calibration. If it...
