Some progress, but lots more to do. :) I got it to start readily (with some choke or it wouldn't run on). I kept it on choke until it stopped dying W/O choke and then let it warm up to normal operating temp. I adjusted the idle screw to set it...

I have to admit, you have done a very comprehensive bunch of work, more than most would have attempted to try and correct the fault and keep the system in fine fettle, so little else I could add aside from...the only thing that I would next...

Mine too, I patched it with thin alloy sheet, higher melting point than Zinc and it's what I had laying around.

There’s not a lot of room. Get your hand in there with scraped knuckles. Can slide sheet of cardboard down there so you don’t ding the rad

i use the EAS Unlock V4 currently, which is compatible. so what youre saying then is that the key i have is correct and that its fob is programmed and compatible with my becm. otherwise it would be throing me into EKA mode every time? if that...

It needs a little persuasion 👍 be careful as the piston conrod is a little scarce to find. Ask me and @kurtjohnson10 how we know👍

Just be careful of heat from the engine as it can slowly destroy the finish on the bonnet. It's for heat as well as noise 👍

I ga I gave the O rings a coat of silicone grease when I did mine.

Sorry, no I don't, my O rings came from Island 4 x 4 for both cars and have been trouble free now for a long time. Hope that hasn't jinxed it:rolleyes:
