Thanks, that might make sense. I've noticed that what passes for weatherstripping above the D pillar is torn, on both sides. IDK, maybe that's a red herring but still. I've already had the common TPMS sensor failure commonly thought to be...
No problems, thanks for the pointers. The existing one has got to be taken off so I'll give it a look over and see what I can do.
Assistance very much appreciated.
Best Regards

So today I was so focused on ignoring that I neglected to put enough suncream on at the beach earlier. The result is rather burnt shoulders. Bloody ignore thread!
I’d imagine it’s the same thing. But you’ve got 4 zone; driver, front passenger, DS rear passenger and PS rear passenger.
Fan speed is likely controlled by the front controls though.
That doesn't sound like 4 zone. I have the same. Driver and passenger controls, which influence the rear temp adjustment. I say adjustment because it's not full control, you can only choose warmer or cooler than the front temp. It's not fully...
Very sorry, it seems that the exhaust side of the turbo with the waste gate has gone missing so no photo's, probably went in the scrap iron bag. The actual waste gate is quite simple when disconnected from the actuator.
Update. So eventually got round to checking the turbo, and the actuator is seized, I can't get it to move inwards at all. So having decided that this is probably the issue I would ask, is it best to just change the entire turbo or would it be...
As this thread is been ignored, not many are going to see it..
As it involves a freelander it should be in the joke section ;)
(Good luck on the meeting.)
While ignoring this most popular thread.
Publicity opportunity for the many ignorers!!

Soo small update. I had the car on a ramp today and surprisingly all bushes were fine. Only the rear radius arm bushes have some hairline cracks so I will replace them with OEM rubber.
I had the car on a ramp and the front propshaft u-joints are indeed slightly out of phase. Didn't take the shaft out to verify if it's 2 teeth. The rear shaft has them in phase.
So the search for what's causing the vibration continues.. I did...
Also unplugged & tested blend & distrib motors using 9V battery & multimeter on the pots via the 16-pin connector. All seem to be working ok with smooth resistance change through the adjustment. But, when plugged back into the HEVAC, I get...
Replaced connector on heater core sensor. Old one was rather corroded where the copper wires were crimped. Now HEVAC says correct remp instead of -8deg !!
Bought her AA breakdown cover. In the vain hope I won't use it this year. 🤣🤣 The RAC called me a couple of days ago to ask me if I would be renewing this year. I wonder if he was surprised at the " hell no!" response 🤣 I decided to see which was...
I've not noticed any leaks or puddles around the cap, so I hadn't thought about replacing it yet.
It does sometimes screw on funny, so maybe it's worth a punt for a few quid
Thought,
You do the pressure test and all is good. Have you changed the cap? It’s the only thing not in the equation when you pressure test it.
I understand that hot/cold can make leaks elsewhere but a new cap is not a lot of beer tokens :).
