Mackenzie's in a dilemma....

Hi, This is my first post and hope that someone will be able to advise me on my dilemma.
I have a defender 90 TD5 2001 had the EGR thingy removed, fuel went from 24MPG to 29MPG. Does not need to be DEcat as it does not have one. Our friend Mr Dynachip has just completed stage 1 remap and I am pleased with the difference in low down torque... Question... do I now fit a 1.222:1 dicovery transfer box gear set from ashcrofts, or fit some 235/85/r16 tyres so that at motorway speeds the drive will be quieter. My 90 has only done 29000 miles so I am not keen on a straight swop T/Box.
