That is a push on type seal, no rivets needed, but might not fit your series without mods.

New fault after fitting reman part would suggest to me the reman part may be faulty?

Engine crane…decent set of tools…Haynes manual…Land Rover forum to ask questions…good safety practices…careful sourcing of quality parts…bit of common sense…nothing you and your lad couldn’t do. I’d get stuck in if I were you guys…git some!

In my experience as a slovenly mechanic, anyone helping who is not a mechanic will actually slow the job down significantly, so getting it cheaper might not be as simple as you think. When the boss decides to help me by removing stuff, it always...

Yes, those are standard poly bushes. Im going to meet up with my mate this week and get under his and take some photos and compare angles, see what his is like at 3 degrees. May get an idea then. Something a clearly amiss

Belt still might be to tight, I did buy one of them deflection torque wrenches years ago, found it next to useless. When you tear it down, check the inside of the front timing case and see if the belt has marked it, if so it indicates the belt is...

I bought one of them torque wrenches with a pointer on it, whatever they are called. Bracket is on the injection pump. Maybe it will become more obvious when I strip it out.

Any oil in the coolant? if not I reckon you can discount the cooler. Had truck engine recently, and it was egr cooler causing header tank to pressurise. Had started to strip the engine to do pistons and liners when I took a peek inside the cold...

How are you tensioning the belt? I find them a fiddle to tension as the belt is so wide it is hard to judge if it is the right tension. Injector pump rear mount bracket still fitted? Might be worth getting a straight edge across the inj pump and...

My 90, though it is a 200, see the track riod running through that black square lump under the diff? that is the factory fit track rod protector. Though I am not sure why changing the angle of the axle would change the track rod clearance as they...

The black rod is the panhard rod, the rusty/dirty one is the drag link, the track rod is the one behind and under the diff that connects the front wheels together. Do not forget the diff pinion bearing is splash fed, and it will not get much oil...

Just look at the angle of the nose on that diff and then compare it to a standard height car. Iirc the track rod barely misses the diff casing, so it looks like you need quite some correction.

The L322 is not appreciating over here some are selling for less than a P38, too complex and hard to fix unless you have good DIY skills including electronics. The price seems high considering the mileage and the age. I suspect you could get a...

I once knew a man who fitted a discovery 300ti air filter housing into the nearside front inner wing, actually looked a good job as there is a lot of dead space in there, probably an arse to change the filter, but he did it for space.

Whatever you fit make sure you make them unattractive to thieves, ie paint them, and if painting them you may as well go for the cheapies.
