It's probably overkill, as the engine is extremely quiet no tappet noise or the dreaded liner tap, more to do with preventative maintenance. However I am at 122,000 miles. Since this car has been hidden away for a few years this is something...

I would have thought so as a cam change will effect the characteristics of the engine on it's own. Thread carefully as the factory engine would have been to a spec. suited to the model. Remember Newton's third law

I drilled and helicoiled the studs on mine years ago, not a bad job just awkward access. Dewebbed mine and drilled all the holes bar two slightly oversize, plus used nuts with built in washers that would allow it to shuffle around a bit in use...

FYI for anyone not done it and curious, if bolt snaps in head and you can’t get molegrips on it to twist it. Your choices are, stud/bolt extractor set, drill a pilot hole in the bolt and use the extractor head which should hopefully unscrew the...

It's an easy job if the studs don't snap or damage the threads in the head.

Ah, sorry. I thought you were going to have the lighter on a separate switch (like mine is). Re-read your first post and got it now. perhaps a feed from the ignition (so it is def off with the key out) then going through the high beam switch...

Get a multimeter out and find the 12V live at the ignition key? Run a line from that?

Bloody thing wouldn't post the first two times in the What Did You Do To Your Range Rover thread. Said parsing error. Third time must have ended up here. Bizarre.

Don't forget my costs include the equivalent of Pickfords packing a decade of house / and unpacking in the house in the UK 3 months later.... some yes - some no - I sold a Discovery 4 after 10 years and 100k extra km and got more for it than...

Kenyan car prices are high, you might get more for them here, than they would be worth in the UK?

Take the spark plugs out (distributor cap seems to be missing ??). Then crank it on the starter motor & check the oil pressure and get the oil circulated where required. Then I would put sparkies in & get it to fire up & idel before revving it up.

  • Loafer61
You won’t find AT tyres in that size, so you need a reseller that can recommend steel rims that use the same bolt pattern and offset, and then get ATs to fit that steel rim (as I’m sure you know). I find Maxxis Razr ATs are excellent on wet and...
