Could be a tensioner pulley failing. Needs proper diagnosis.

EGR pipe leaking. Bolt snapped when removing resulting in body off job. The metal pipe has a crimped sleeve fitted. Had rotted through at the crimp. Could hear the whoosh from it on drivers side.

Spray soapy water on inlet manifolds whilst someone is revving the engine. Sounds like a possible cracked inlet manifold as the issue is slowly getting worse.

I actually twisted and snapped a 3/8th extension bar trying to remove the last rear bolt.

I have recently changed my prop due to centre bearing failing. The old prop u/j was very notchy. There are no grease points on them. So it is a gamble when changing the centre bearing if there are other issues.

I worked at Evans Halshaw LR when the P38 was launched. First one they sold at the launch party had the plate A 40 HSE as it was a 4.0 litre.

Could have been handbrake brake shoe retaining clips failed and locked up.

Occasional restricted performance, usually on light throttle and hissing which sounded to be from your feet area or behind dash. The pipe has some heat protection on and a clip at one end (under the car). It is where the clip is that they rot. Usually pin holes. I towed our caravan for 3 hours...
