    Freelander 1 FL1 Fob suppliers

Thanks @andyfreelandy. I need/want to have a second working fob. Knowing it is the 17TN is a huge help. I just ordered a pscan from @pscan.eu to help me with the bizarre behaviour on the SRS side, so I can do the CCU work too.

    Freelander 1 FL1 Fob suppliers

I just looked here and on eBay for a FL1 2005 key fob supplier. Any recommendations that respect the bank account please? Do the Rover 25 45 100 200 400 ZS ZR MG MGF 2 Button fobs suit FL1? Thanks

    Freelander 1 SRS oddity

Thanks, while out shopping for beer to help my misery, I thought much as you. I’ve called a friend who has the LR setup to fully diagnose. Maybe there is something happening with the ECU and there is no fault at all with the systems it’s monitoring, like a false negative. I’ll post back when I...

    Freelander 1 SRS oddity

Does a hippo drive you to drink?? 🤣 What’s so infuriating is everything else is working, even HDC. Pretensioners are all same length. I’m ringing The Samaritans later…. they surely know some of our issues!

    Freelander 1 SRS oddity

Hello, came to UK last week with the TD4 2005 Facelift FL1 (manual trans, no cruise control). During the ferry crossing and hour getting through a DRENCHED Portsmouth, I had both the SRS light come on and the orange hill descent warning light show. Overnight; the HDC warning disappeared. But...

    Freelander 1 Towbar fitment

Thanks, mine must be an early genuine LR example, it looks exactly like the assembly notes that show the spacers. Strange though that I couldn’t find it on the classic landrover site. All in all, your idea and my thinking about making spacers up is the way forwards.

    Freelander 1 Towbar fitment

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked and there are no plates welded to my LR tow bar.

    Freelander 1 Towbar fitment

Hello Okay, the new DM clutch is in and I need to fit a tow bar. My TD4 never had one fitted. I sourced a used genuine LR tow bar with OEM fasteners and was about to fit it. I read the fitting instructions posted in the forum from 2008. I see in step 6 on page 3 there are 2 spacer plates...

[SOLVED] 2005 TD4 manual trans - cabin rumbles, how to resolve & proceed

Hello all I would appreciate your ideas since I don’t have a monopoly on clever thinking… or money :( My TD4 has 230,000 miles, I am getting 45mpg REGULARLY. This last year I had to replace all the prop shaft bearings and joints. This last week full new LUK DM clutch and hydraulics (I have...

    Stuck thermostat inline mod

Just another afterthought... when I introduced the inline mod' and had removed the standard thermostat, I was paranoid about air locks since I had removed ALL the coolant from below and backflushed with a hose to get as much debris out of the system as possible. I jacked the front right wheel...

    Stuck thermostat inline mod

If you don`t remove it to check it for functioning, how do you know it isn`t stuck part open and impeding flow and creating an airlock without the bleed hole modification?

    Stuck thermostat inline mod

I would say it is unlikely but not impossible that you have an air lock? When I fitted my inline thermostat, I recall filling and running the engine for quite a while without the coolant tank cap in place and topping up a few times. Also, if the thermostat is closed, the engine block side got...
