completed 1640 km in 2 days. I am going to double check tomorrow but I have close to 18km/l (51 mpg)!!! I wondered if the silicon oil would help reduce engine friction but that number if it checks out tomorrow night will be incredible.
EDIT: 823km and 52.49 litres = 44.3 mpg (at largely 110...

I think my key is a recut from a blank, but how it is in a LR holder intrigues me. I do have a chip in mine. 2005 Facelift.

My 1st gear switch connector hadn’t been fully pushed home, probably because of a small piece of grit. Cleaned it all and like you, voila! HDC works perfectly.

Fixed the HDC (thanks for your recent pic' postings @andyfreelandy - super helpful) and am now ready for my first big trip this year. Dodgy connector!! This will fix other wet weather problems seen via pscan and showing up in the display. I expect to cover 2500 miles in the next week from...

OK, I found the following installation reference document HERE. Very disappointed by the supplier that they do not have an English equivalent guide (only available in German 🤬).
Just in case someone else needs the document in the future, I have attached the PDF and also my English translation...

Spent the day doing checks around the rear diff seal and underside. Diff seal region often looked dirty and damp. The rear silencer box looked like it had been sprayed with oil mist at some point before I took ownership nearly 5 years ago. But no, the seal is clean and oil tight.
So I cleaned...

Hello all
I fitted my towbar recently and used a Jaeger 7 pin wiring kit. It connects into the OEM plug in the rear boot space. I tested it all out with my trailer tester and no problems were revealed.
Last night was the first time I drove after dark in months and I noticed that the rear fog...

Make sure no oil dripped onto your alternator if it’s a TD4!!! (I place a plastic bag over it, because oil in the alternator is a sure fire way to kill it).
