    Forum adverts getting crazy

Web forums exist due to the information donated by their members. Web forum running cost is exceedingly minimal. Nothing more than a minuscule amount of advertising revenue is required to reach financial parity. We are WAY past that point. The "support the forum" cash is just additional profit...

300TDi Flanged Drive Shafts - Are they available???

On mine, i replaced the shafts and flanges together (rear), using sealable flanges, and, at the same time, removed the oil seal behind the stub axle, so as the gear oil can run the whole way up to the flange. Ill take it apart at some point in the future and check for ware, but, from what ive...

    Forum adverts getting crazy

Yeah, im on the pc at the moment, and zero ads, but on phones its harder. There are browsers and script combinations (like kiwi) that will strip everything off facebook, but its still madness that this forum is getting that bad.

300TDi Flanged Drive Shafts - Are they available???

Im confused by this - the 300disco had them, but that didnt have a salisbury. ...and, more to the point, im pretty certain (almost entirely certain) that the 300 disco and 300 defender salisbury half shafts are different lengths (which is why you cant just use a load of disco parts in a...

    Forum adverts getting crazy

Is it just me, or has the forum advert load just got insane recently? I mean, once I've slid up the drop down covering half the screen, I then get this kind of thing (screen shot from my phone) - It's madness. It's getting worse than Facebook! (Obviously on the desktop computer I've got...

    Defender prices general discussion

I bought this 110 couple of months ago for £700. Its, basically, an ID, some axels, and a load of dashboard parts (which would really add up if you had to buy them all) I have the majority of the required parts to make a ropey work vehical left over from my "smart" (not yet, but will be) 110...

Wanted Roll cage for 110 station wagon.

You can get this one, which has an internal bar between drivers and 2nd row - Or this one, which is exactly the same, but without the internal hoop - My partner is adamant that she wants no internal stuff, but the external is the same on both anyway.

Wanted Roll cage for 110 station wagon.

I reckon, if it comes to it, I'll just buy one new. What bothers me in this plan is that, a while back, I mailed an eBay seller who's (complete) cage had gone unsold (id not seen it, else I'd have bought it). He told me he couldn't get rid of it, and ended up just cutting it up and taking it...

    110 ex military Paint

The only person it matters to is you. The only person who knows for sure is some long retired quartermaster. In light of these two truths, just pick whatever you want. Nobody else on earth will either know, nor care.

Freelander 1 Andyfreelandy's get together, North Devon, September 13th

We live in EX16, so I'd like to think we could come by. Assuming the FL2 doesnt go into limp mode too many times on the way there! If I tow it there with the 110, will the 110 get firebombed when I arrive? : )

    Bio diesel processor with oil

Ive a friend who has swapped over to an electric car, and offered his processor up for sale on the various bio forums, and there was really very little interest. His setup was significantly more competent than may of the commercial offerings, and still, no bites. I think DPF regen cycles have...

    Defender heater

Ive got a bent pipe one by my feet right now - looks harder to change the matrix on than the straight one. I think the change over was at around 1994 (at the 200 to 300 change)

    Defender instrument removal

I got so sick of trying to trouble shoot it on the vehicle that i got it all on the kitchen table! Id swap the broken plastic things for a raptor unit in the blink of an eye at any point into the future.

    Defender instrument removal

You have to take the front off the binnacle - screws on either end and the base. Then the gauges have a screw and u shaped clip thing that has to come off. Make sure you pay attention to the black wire with the eyelets on it, and replace it in the right position.
