Thanks guys, got a few options now to look at but I'm leaning towards the 7.50 & I've just sourced a set of good s/h original steel rims 16" so Phase 1 complete!!

Thanks for that tottot, I can look at that size also.

By the way, steering all been checked & replaced track rod ends etc all good including box so no problems mechanically.

Thanks chaps for the info. I think I can see the way to go now. Probably original rims with 7.50, I don't need anything aggressive or off road.

Thanks for that dag, I assume that would mean a change to original style wheels rather than the 15" modular that the Maxis are on to take a 7.50?

Morning Folks,
I could do with some thoughts on tyre/wheel combinations. I currently have Maxis Bravo tyres 31 x 10.5 x 15 on my early 90 without power steering. Until I can do a power steering adaption I could do with lightening the steering, it seems very heavy compared to other landies I...

Morning Folks, I am replacing & shimming up the top swivel pin on my 1985 90. Other than a bit of grease on the pin to aid insertion should the housing be greased up much? There is obviously grease (one shot) in the housing. Can't seem to find much info on it, cheers & thanks John.

I must admit the thought did go through my mind! A smear of black silicone 🤫 Thanks for all the feedback, will sleep on it and look at the various options later on.

Agreed, the annoying part about this is that they came from a reputable supplier, I tend to use only the likes of Paddocks/Island/Craddocks etc, they certainly weren't genuine but I would have thought a decent quality aftermarket.

Evening All, I have an issue with cracking front lower shock absorber bushes on my early 90. I am currently restoring it & these were fitted new about 18 months ago, not on the road yet so obviously not had any use yet. I noticed today there are cracks in them, surely this can't be right? The...

Thanks everyone, I think I know where I am going with this lot now.
Just the issue with the MC now. Your recommendation was to change it for a 110 MC , is it NRC 8690 pre TDI up to 1991 110 MC ?
Out of interest how would the brakes perform if I didn't change the MC?
Can I keep the old (but...

Hi all & thanks for the info, I think that's answered the question apart from one point. Flat - you mentioned that the discs will fit ok, but as you can see they came as a complete assembly with hub / bearings / seals etc. Can I just drop the whole lot on? or should I remove the new discs and...

]Hi everyone & thanks for your replies.
Just a bit of history regarding the brake issue. The Landy is a 1985 90 bought 12 months ago as a project to finish off what the previous owner had started. A load of work had been done but nothing to brakes which is what I am working on now. Rear brakes...
