Just to offer a conclusion.. The backbox including the 1 damaged tail pipe was lowered and cut off. Then, a genuine, used backbox was welded on. This was then correctly installed

No worries, no harm done. Thank you for your responses. Where does the part go exactly? I have had a brief look but wasn't 100% Is it on the RHS of the tailgate itself?

I need to check the tailgate seal. The cinch motor does pull it in the last few cm. I'm suspecting some connections are not 100%. When u say inside the panel, do u mean I should remove the bootlid door card? If so, what's the best way to do...

Each to their own, did u read the original post? If you had done you'd have noted its the tail pipe out of the backbox that is the issue....

Hi everyone Hoping for some advice on my 2015 Discovery Sport, 2.2.. Some kind soul has managed to squash and deform one of the 2 pipes that comes out of my backbox and the exhaust tip is squashed too.. Needless to say I am not terribly...
