I find that somewhere to put my glasses, tin of mints, pens and fluff is much more useful. If I found the need to use sat nav, I'd stick one of those plungery phone holders on the screen. A billion Uber drivers that can't speak English (Edit...

SOLVED The clunking was the o/s BRAND NEW Borg & Beck top mount bearing on the strut. Identified and switched out for a LR top mount bearing, no more clunking! The guys at https://www.freelanderspecialist.com/ found it inside 5 minutes. They...

Check the VIN. All the information needed is included in the VIN.

No, its completely, totally, grossly different. There is nothing the same between the cars - except the badge says 'Freelander'. (I'm sure someone will tell me that the lock for the bonnet is the same or summat). Yes, it will have a Haldex...

I work at a scrapyard so we do get a fair share of end of life vehicles but this was the first 3 door Hippo since I’ve been there. Been waiting for one for ages, kept thinking I had to buy a couple of tyres then got lucky. Still got the sports...

I take it you work at a breakers yard? Or did you just buy some bits off someone who turned up at your place of work? How did they get home? Do you try to get other types of parts off your customers, kidneys, livers etc? :D Going by your...

I posted on 16/03/25 smugly about replacing my starter motor. What a fool…. Three days later the new one stopped working altogether. So after much cursing, blood sweat and tears put the old one back in. Started first time and continues to work...

Manual: it's all powered through the gearbox switch, very simple. Auto: powered by a relay which is triggered (from memory) by the Jatco ECU.

My main thought is that it was a rather useless auto electrician. Second thought is that its nothing to do with brakes if the fuse is for both reverse lights and brakes... and it happens when you put the car in reverse. Does it do it if you...

An AWD fully functional F1 is obviously the best way to use and enjoy the car. However, my F1 has been giving great service in 2WD for a decade and is still going strong. I have just removed drive in the IRD to the rear pinion, so I'm carrying...

That's an awesome pack you have there. Hope the fuse sorts the problems. Great call from @pscan.eu Please accept my appologies for saying this is a great thread... as its causing you grief.... But its part of what makes LZ so great and I...

Thank you! At least the dog's don't need fuses... ;-) I wished I would know so much about cars as I do about dogs and probably snowmobiles...
  • GrumpyGel
Thank you all again for your answers!!! That gives me really hope again!!!! So I will try to get such a fuse and hope for the very best... If I got one (not so easy here and in my situation) I will report directly if that was the sollution. Thank...

Lovely pic. Dogs seem more reliable than a FL at the moment :D. Is that you off to get a fuse:D. J

When my L Series started strange misbehaving starts it was due to electrical spikes. I disconnected the battey for 20 minutes to let the ecus clear and reset themselves. It was fine after that. Good luck.

Just a wee update on driving and charging. The car has been driving great since the 12V relay module was replaced. :D I've only driven around miles 60 since but it's been flawless. TBH I had always questioned the wisdom of using ultra cheap...

Here it is for a facelift. Power comes from position "1" on the ignition barrel (I don't know what that means), through F6, through the inhibit switch on the transmission, and in to the immobiliser. If the vehicle starts then it's probably working.

GrumpyGel replied to the thread Freelander 1 Еrror p0705.
I don't know anything about your problem, I don't know how the auto box works, but you say "there is no power to the inhibitor". Looking at the circuit diagram, the "INHIBIT" within the 'SELECTOR" looks to get power from fuse F35 in the...
