Started reassembling Slooby's former Rangie. Just cannot get the FIP adjustment right. Swapped for the FIP on my scrapper thinking maybe the Woodroffe key was worn but same sh1t. Get it bang on, rotate 360 and the b*st*rd has moved. I think maybe...

Weirdly I have never changed mine. Makes me think the quality of the originals is massively better than anything available now.

Found this on my hard-drive. No idea where I got it but might be useful to someone else: viscous fan testing procedure.

Range rover and its valve body donor are ready to go to workshop tomorrow to take up 2 ramps, new zf fluids here, new pan, new tubes and bridge seal and mechatronic seals, reset all the adaptions and hope its fine again, I really miss driving the...

Unfortunately the only way I managed to get a response was to threaten legal action via the bank. I didn't like doing it but he was taking the ****. Never been back.

Condenser replaced, took it to the garage for them to nitrogen test - left for 3 hours and didn’t drop a single PSI. Regassed and I’ve got lovely cold air again. Finally*. *until the next thing breaks

Cheapest fix and first job with brakes is to follow the bleed procedure as per RAVE. Don't rush it and pump plenty of fresh fluid through. How many presses of the brake pedal before the ABS pump kicks in? If the accumulator membrane is shot it...

You could put Megasquirt or similar on it and then map whatever you want but it is an awful lot of messing about for a brick of a car. As you said, there are a few off the shelf cams available that would do the job.

Turners. Don't think they're as well thought of as they used to be. V8 Developments might be worth a look. Changing the cam is the first job. Easy enough to do if you follow RAVE. After that you can get someone to play with the ECU but think...

So, just to close this thread with a defenitive update: She will get new 4-2 exhaust manifolds (the old ones are gone), a Weber / Edelbrock carb, full heat shielding and sound deadening, all of that this year. Maybe even a roof top tent...

So, today, I looked at her. Following that, I send my technical inspector a message for a test appointment. Then I irdered some starter spray, those SUs are great, but way too lean for the new camshaft. The resulting cold start problems require...

You posted it in some random guys thread. I saw the photos can see the red coolant

Other thread. A bit of PTFE tape seems to have sorted the drain plug. Aircon drains were dripping but dripped a lot more after I jammed a screwdriver in there. Oddly the driver's side was worse than the passenger side. I can confirm the exhaust...

I honestly don't understand why you want all terrains fitted in 22 inch. Your best bet are 20 inch you have much more choice to choose from iv got wildpeaks fitted to my l320 sc.

Water, water bl**dy everywhere. Got back from town and spotted a drip from the front - drain-plug was dripping from the radiator. Went inside, came back out and noticed a drip from the passenger sill. Opened door and carpet is wet. Water...

Fitted the new exhaust yesterday. I went for one of the £335 ‘sports’ ones you can find on eBay. I must say I’m overall extremely impressed with the welding and it fit beautifully, something I wasn’t sure would happen. Sound wise there’s an...

Solved! Thanks a bunch. I just altered those screws a few times. It’s not 100% but it shuts normal now. I’m not going to even entertain the idea of toying with it. I’m just chuffed that it’s now fixed and my car is whole again.

Hi everyone! I have finished replacing the driver's door lock. I also replaced the plastic parts of the front doors, STC3063 and -64. Contrary to the instructions, I did not assemble the parts with a spring tensioner, but tightened the shorter...

Those glove boxes are an utter PITA if you disturb them. Last time I just left mine closed for 2 years and it suddenly started working again.
