You could drive it while on the bump stops. I did 137 miles with mine at 50 mph. Just slow down for any uneven spots in the road like entries/exits of bridges. If it starts bouncing you need to slow right down.

I would try stiffer double acting shocks before going to a different car. I don't recall my D1 with Bilstein shocks being bouncy. My LR3 on 18 inch wheels is not bouncy. In fact I find the ride to be on the harsh side.

I always remove the overflow hose from the radiator and keep adding coolant to the reservoir tank with engine running until I see a steady stream of coolant coming out of the overflow nipple. Reconnect hose and add coolant as necessary and then let car cool down fully. Top off coolant tank. Only...

Try posting on the L322 section of RangeRovers.net. There is a fellow there, RRPhil, who is an expert on those transmissions.

If the first one was serviced at Land Rover dealerships you should be able to get service history based on VIN. Then you can see if it had recurring problems and also if it as regularly serviced.

With regard to contact cleaners, the one used by electronics professionals is called Deoxit. It is more than a simple solvent as it chemically removes oxidation. Fairly expensive stuff.

I tried the pencil sharpener trick once and felt it did not work well. I use a pair of long needle nose pliers that have the tip bent at a right angle to remove/install the pipes. As they are flexible you don't need to worry about cracking them when gripping.

It is quite possible to drive it while on the bump stops. I have done more than 100 miles this way. Just slow down when coming to uneven surfaces.

You say the old plug had fat white and brown. Can you get to the wire bundle as it goes back towards the engine? If you can put a voltmeter on the white and brown wires you should be able to discover which is positive and negative (with the ignition on). On the new plug the positive wire is...

I bought a pair from Amazon for $300 CAD and have driven over 10,000km with my 150 pound roof top tent without any problems.
Rokiotoex brand.

Sometimes an impact wrench will remove a nut from a spinning ball joint where using steady pull on a wrench does not work.

My 2008 Supercharged does not have auto folding mirrors either. I have bought a GAP to use on my LR3 and am hoping it will let me activate manual power folding of my outside mirrors. Don't know if I have the correct mirrors for this but I do have a place for the needed relay and the adjustment...

Thanks for the replies. Much appreciated.
I will pass along the recommendation to check behind the kick panels. It would seem there is a bad connection somewhere.
The buyer told me his research suggested the speedo should get a signal as long as at least 1 ABS sensor is working. It would be...

I recently sold my 99 Autobiography to a fellow who was looking for a cheap 4x4 as he lives in a hilly area. The car was in very good condition inside and out. He also liked the roof rack which could carry his kayak. I had bought this car to take off the factory Warn winch installation and swap...

I replaced the prop shaft on my 2008 L322 as I was sure it was the cause of a vibration I was feeling. $1000CAD. Unfortunately it turned out to be worn links in the rear suspension. The driveshaft has CV joints at each end, not simple cross pieces. To replace the driveshaft you have to remove...
