The Defender Parts Catalogue doesn't list a screw to hold the lock barrel in place, it's a small pin that you have to depress to remove the barrel.
If yours had a screw fitted I can only presume that it was fitted by a previous owner.

Very happy with the way it's turned out considering i made a quick sketch in 2 minutes the other night.

Thank you all! I have ordered the replacement bits & bolts off of eBay and Paddock's, will be doing the work myself - When the time comes for stainless I will have already done an exhaust swap so will be aware of any pitfalls. Hi Cap has a 2"...
If the rest of the exhaust is ok just replace the rotten section.
Have a look at Paddocks or similar parts supplier for it.
It's easy to replace the section, just a couple of bolts ( which will have rusted solid so cut them off ), buy new bolts...
I was with LV for years, when I informed them of a chassis change they cancelled the policy even though it's a Marsland chassis.
Lots of insurer's wouldn't cover me.
