I feel your pain, one of the reasons I fitted a disc braked axle to my 85 110. I used 2 large flat bladed screwdrivers behind the drum 180deg apart and put pressure on them (probably need another pair of hands) then smacked the outside of the...

Look what I've got hold of! Wood is good, leather is damaged and the wrong colour but I've ordered a repair kit so see how that pans out as I've never done it before.

That type fuse and fuse holders are notorious for making a bad contact. I would replace the blown one after disconnecting the batteries, removing all the fuses and cleaning up the fuse holders and fuse contact ends with some wire wool or...

The clutch fork is an item that went downhill when the coilers arrived, Series 3 had a cast item with a nylon bearing for the post. So called heavy duty [ extra bit of metal welded on the back of arm] available. Problem I have had with a...

Pivot was fine, welded the arm up with an extra thick plate for insurance. Spent what seemed hrs trying to get the box mated back up but got there in the end, bolted that back up, refitted the slave and tried the clutch...no pressure at the pedal...

New master and slave fitted, bled and bled until I've got constant fluid coming through with no air . Pedal goes to the floor with no resistance whatsoever. Box has got to come out, bugger!

I've taken 2 abs sensors with me just in case ;) ;) 👍
  • Flossie
If you dropped it off for me to do, I'd still be trying to get one of the abs sensors out later this afternoon. Car would be ready to pick up, all sorted, some time in October. :vb-lol: :vb-groan2::vb-groan2:. I proper struggled.

Bought her a nice new R/H front indicator cluster. Checked, double checked, checked again and bought the correct one. Only I didn't. I bought the L/H 🤦‍♀️🤣 but it's ok. It can go in the shed until needed 😁

Gears, mainly 1st and reverse were getting hard to engage for a while then suddenly got worse, especially reverse one day, then...weirdly...it was OK again on the same day, crunching then..no crunching? Next day(yesterday) it started crunching...

Not used the 38 for 8 days I think as i needed a work horse as i had a house roof replacement to do so used the 110. Battery flat on the 38 this morning so that's on charge and decided to fit the new genuine tailgate seal. The difference in soft...

Measure the height of yours, early ones are longer, I've fitted an early one to mine which had the later nla originally. I can then go measure mine to confirm what you have. Not sure if it's possible to measure the overall height with it fitted...

That light, above, isn't two way switching, that was the landing light. The two wires in that light, above, were both neutrals , loop in and loop out, live was red ,switched live was black (red sleeving) both from the one way switch. All the...

It was the two neutral wires from the next bedroom causing the issue. They were both just 'resting' in the choc block, screw was loose, everything up and running again and relieved that I didn't have to go up in the itchy loft 😬 . The offending...

Live terminals were all correct right up to the bulb contacts, only 1 neutral on the landing , 3 terminals there, 1 from the loft space and , of course, the neutral tail from the lamp cord, @mystery has sussed it methinks. Find out tomorrow...

more info please but assume the landing light last on circuit, the bathroom light should have 3 neutral wire (fan, landing and nearest bedroom) and the bedrooms should each have two neutrals so would look at bedroom nearest to bathroom for...

I think you're right. I thought all lives, neutrals and earth's returned to the consumer unit as a ring circuit on both sockets and lights. It follows that the landing light is the last in the non returning circuit hence only one neutral. I'll...

Yes, copper washer. I've got a seat refinishing kit but the biggest cutter was too small for a 38 diesel.
