An auto box should not be able to stall an engine.
If the engine stalls when the power steering is in use the it’s an engine issue, or idle setting.

A Discovery Sport automatic gearbox overheating, so it looks like your focusing on an iffy temp sensor, is that a guess or a certainty? as it also could include leaks in the lines or a malfunctioning cooling fan; all of which prevent the...
I think it's fixed. It's hard to tell from the pictures (or looking at it in person) but the sprocket on the output shaft is a little warped. Either from running it with a bad bearing for months (I knew that was probably not a good idea...) or...
Are you unable to select a gear/s without the engine running?

In my 37 years with two auto LRs which have only used Dexron mineral spec auto fluid which is semi synthetic without any issues… so what have I been missing ?
It’s the specification that's important not the Brand, as the fluid you have is the Dexron lll spec then thats okay.
Your owners handbook will have more info.
I have a D1 and am teaching myself to weld as it wouldn’t be worth doing it if I paid someone else.
When I first started this journey I had a shed , now I have a workshop….. you get the idea.
Regarding your starting issue, check the fuel sender...
The Discovery 150 was limited edition in 1996, not from the factory but a group of UK dealers and based on some similarities to the XS, such as XS wheels that are fitted

There did seem to be a bit of difference between torque settings between Defender, D1 and D2 in various places, even though it's the same box, one of the reasons I thought I best ask in case I was missing something obvious or my "ebay certified"...
Job done.
The lamp has very short leads so these needed extending about 6". I had a bit of 2 core in my 'I'll keep that, might be useful one day' box so that was soldered and heat shrink wrapped and poked through the rubber socket franger, bit...

It is a shame, I don’t know of another LR seller in North Kent, but it’s been a ‘sign of the times’ for many years which is still is, that is ordering parts on line.
In Kent’s Medway City Estate there was a LR parts seller, that seemed to have...
There’s not many places you can get a genuine parts of the shelf, and which may be obsolete, and then delivery in a couple of days, Rimmer’s did it with my few orders taken over the years.

I changed my disco reverse bulbs a couple of year ago for fun, the only thing that changed was the colour, a white light with a faint blue tinge, the light was a bit brighter but without any extra range of illumination which I...

So 18 watts / 12 volts = 1.5 amps. And if you still the standard 2x21watt bulbs = 3.5 amps, so the vehicles wiring will be capable of handling the extra current load.
It may look nice when new and maybe see it behind the rad grill.
I believe that Allisport products can exceed the specifications of the factory issue item when used in a performance and competition setting in which a quick additional cooling is...
Thanks, thats great, very useful and helpful!
I was considering the " powerfuluk" kit which comes with a pub....why is the eBay kit superior, please?
Thank you!
1. Standard hydraulic glands to suit.
2. It varies with engine speed, my D1 should be at idle 665 to 735rpm around 6.1 bar, 10 bar at 2000rpm.
Check your D2 Workshop manual it could be different pressure.
3. Nope just LR, but there’s after market...
I take it your post is regarding your 200 series D1, because there’s no mention of it, although it appears a D2 has slipped into the conversation which you haven’t mentioned either 🤔
Anyway from the horse’s mouth… a LR D1 workshop manual, a list...
Interesting so i just Googled the issue and found the D3 and 4 forums have lots of posts on the subject, so quite common and a bug or update required was mentioned, in just my two minutes of looking. 🤔
I remember that I had a bit of a issue with...

I would suggest find out why the seat doesn’t move perhaps following the...
As you have found out these fittings come in different lengths, thats possibly because there’s 3 change points with these exhaust fittings for the Tdi.
You should have 3 of these items fitted, if so take one off as a pattern or take some...
