If it has come through the skin, no, the alluminium has oxidised away into thin air. It's gone. It's passed us by and is on it's way to peace eternal, it's bereft of life and can best be described as ex-alluminium-num-num. Rub down the effected...

You're too late! I've done a deal myself for £7,350. And a big thanks to the guys who suggested it would polish up with some T-Cut because it does! The previous owner never, ever washed it so it got badly oxidized, but it scrubs-up nicely with...

This ^^ In a 90 you can carry people, things,, the dog. But only one of them at a time. If you need to carry more than one thing at a time you need a 110.

Ok, in general for 1 or 2 persons at the most, family has to be a 110.

I am going to say a few things. Stop looking at pretty, of course most sale ads like to show you pretty. Wanna buy this:D. Has manual AC but rust free. No scratches (to be seen;)). I may have said it, dont get sucked in by pretty, I guess at...

The rear heated window switch should be down by your knee between the steering wheel and the door. If you have a fog switch there then I would remove the little three switch panel and see if the wiring for the heated rear window is still behind...

That's what the sankey is for!

Exactly as above, a normal trailer does not have the novelty or fun factor, and again I have most of the parts to do it. i would need to source everything required for a normal trailer rather than just the hitch.
  • dag019
Because I will have a spare (replaced with galv) chassis and rear body. What else am I supposed to do with them? Plus there is a big “because I can” factor. That is the sort of thing I am looking to do although I think I will stop at the...

dag019 replied to the thread Rear Door Storage Solution.
If you are concerned about the look then fit a spare wheel cover and it will look original. This is possibly what I would be looking to do anyway just from a security point of view. If you make it look like a spare wheel rather than storage no...

What are you concerned about by having a landrover for general uni life? I bought my 110 when I was 18 with the very first instalment of my student loan. Best investment I ever made in my opinion. I than had it as my only vehicle through...

Completely agree with the above. A 90 can carry people, things, or the dog. But can only do one at a time. And as mentioned any more than 4 people and it becomes cramped and uncomfortable. If you want to carry more than one thing form the list...

Just so you know, if you didn't already, they never made a 1989 300tdi. Post the advert and check it has a vin number relevant to the vehicle. It is highly likely it will have rust, you just have to find it.
  • dag019
At that age mileage is not relevant and you need to buy on conditions. Firstly of chassis and bulkhead, secondly on mechanicals. I have over 400k on my ‘89 110. But only a few body panels have actually done all of that mileage There is no...

I would also question this. having recently put a new britpart alternator on my 200tdi it came complete and ready to fit with the correct pulley already fitted.

I would agree with the 8k maybe a bit more depending on condition of other things. Although I am not looking for a V8 so these prices will be lower I paid £2250 18months ago for an ‘89 110 station wagon with no v5 (exported but never left) and...

That is why I have a low amp fused bypass on mine. Enough to keep things powered, radio, tracker, alarm etc, but as soon as you turn the ignition on and the glow plug tray kicks in the fuse will blow! You just need something similar for the alarm...

They are but with some work and revealing of the box and dash you can get a reasonable heat output from them.

Thank you John, got you, thank you. Am now learning I should've said a L663. Will give you feedback anyway if I get a resolution.

I have the military anti burst locks so door handle is down by your hip same as the fronts. So it is no issue form that respect not having a door car.
  • dag019
If you'd stop being a Freelanderer your misses would stop knocking you about with it & the pan will last longer. 🤣
  • dag019
10 years and counting on my 110 with nearly 200k miles on them. So I would say the Teflon lasts pretty well!
  • dag019
I ran britpart poly on my panrod for a while, when they fail you know about it instantly, and being poly they are only about 10 min to swap over so I was not too worried about fitting them. They lasted me a couple of year a set with the mileage I...

I (personaly) don't think it's worth £800 You can get everything you need using Terrafirma springs and Britpart Orange shocks for less than 1/3 the price and (I think) it will last just as long and be just as comfortable/usable. Of course you...

You are not the first person to suggest that. I am happy not to have door cards but passengers and the wife, who are used to modern plastic cars, seem to think that is rather uncivilised.

Well, after examination, yes ... This is very well built, good solid relay, nice pc board and wiring with quaity connectors etc. I'll give it a go.
  • dag019
Are britpart making chrome wones again now? There was a time where they only did the teflon ones, although they are reasonable and I have had no problems with them on my 110.
  • dag019
That’s the issue I have found. No replacements or aftermarket seem available for the second row split doors. Only the originals which are either wrecked, in use, or cost more than a whole Land Rover!
  • dag019
I do indeed thank you for clarifying. I have not found anywhere doing door cards for the split door station wagon second row.
