Hi,
found new front propshaft is 2 inches short (25 inch) than the old one and flange distance is 27 inch. I also found
series 2-3 props are about 24 inch. So too short,
what prop do I have???

Possible, but the previous bearing was original. and i have reused the outer race.

hi, without the mainshaft in position the bearing rollers slip in easily but it seems impossible with the mainshaft in, with the reverse
idler held up.

friend experienced in gear boxes cannot get layshaft home

got new bearings and on first rebuild box jammed- found i had broken layshaft bottom bearing when i installed it- new parts and cannot get layshaft home....

Can any one tell me how to get the Layshaft into a series box? An experience friend (can rebuild preselect boxes) and I spent all day trying to get the layshaft in. Several weeks ago i gently tapped it home but broke the bearing cage. new parts and new effort. We could have spent the day...
