    Spigot Bearing - please help!

What material is the spigot bearing made from? Phosphor bronze, oil impregnated? Sintered bronze ,oil impregnated? This is for my Discovery TD5, the one I have purchased is sloppy in the crankshaft, the void in the end of the crankshaft measures evenly all round. I did see an old post about...

    Discovery 2 TD5 R380 - Bell Housing torque

Hi, Yes mine were on tight, but just about every bolt I’ve taken out of this motor seems like it takes about 250Nm or more to crack off! I wasn’t aware of any gasket to fit, there wasn’t one one previously, was there one on yours?

Disco2 TD5 Can only select one gear

Hi, Yes I have tried selecting gears with the yoke removed and with a screwdriver in the end of the selector shaft but still the same, someone at a gear rebuild shop suggested I checked the reverse collar was right back, it seems to be but there is little in this. Wondered if the C clip was...

Disco2 TD5 Can only select one gear

Hi Bennehboy, Can not select reverse, and yes the yoke grub screw is located in the detent. The gear stick will not move into any other gear, just doesn’t locate any position where it could start to go into a gear. I took a short video but can not see how to upload it.
