This might sound like a sh**y response, it's not meant that way but you need to help us to help you. What have you done in these weeks to start to diagnose the issue? What codes are you getting for this? There are a lot of interlinked...

Unless it's subframe bushes worn, I think that's pre-filled on an L322 MOT!

They won't, according to Gap, it will need to be replaced. I expect that's why we've never spoken of it again.

Hi, as some of you said, I couldn't find the hard plastic seals for the secondary pistons, I found a good used modulator from 1998 and took it. The part looks good and there is no dirt inside, I think I got a good deal. I removed the washers and...

A friend of mine washed the key for her Discovery in a pair of trousers so it did a full cycle in the machine. Would you believe it is no longer working? I have the licence for her car on Gap so we got some cheap keys off eBay and it won't...

The mess of that tells me it's been like it for quite some time, the seller may not have known what the issue was but I'd bet he knew there was one as he knew how to drive it to lessen the impact. Sorry man, that's sadly the way too many people...

Looking again this morning, is all of that mess only on one side of the engine? If it is, I would be putting money on a split manifold here, that is a LOT of oil and soot there so I don't think it's a recent failure, I expect it's been like it...

My error then, I didn't buy carbide blades. They would have made the job much easier to be fair, the access is tricky with a grinder.

I didn't as managed without it but I have now added this to my "I wasn't f*****g asking!" drawer

Hey guys. Thank you so much for pitching in here. Car is going in for an inspection next week. I have attached the full error. @Blob Yes, I now realise that I was not looking at the fuel injectors. Shows the depth of my mechanical knowledge...

Ok, great, you're in a good place now as you have the detail. This is almost certainly a boost leak so start with the easy stuff, pull these two pipes off and inspect them thoroughly for splits, it's a quick easy test you can do: If they look...

Been there a few times. The pictures aren't of the injectors though, that's the fuel rail. OP, grab the full text from the code please; I'm fairly sure that it will say something like "boost correlation issue" which is where you have a...

L320 RRS I would think based on the signature and the fact that it has the wishbones. I did this job on the wife's D4 a couple of weeks ago. I'd heard that a recip saw was the best thing to use so I bought some decent blades and went at it...

Hi Bob I am new to this so if I am coming across as a bit thick it’s probably because I am. I use a thermometer with a red dot and point it at various places: Low down on the engine block gets to 45-50 max, after an hour ticking over. The metal...

You state that it stays around 45ºC, how do you know that? If you're guessing that's an odd statement to make. But, I rather suspect that you're getting that data from a couple of potential sources: 1 - Diagnostic from the ECU in which case, the...

I had a lot of "fun" trying to get o rings for my Mustang injectors. Went to a specialist who told me that the measurements that are critical are the diameter and the cross section (how thick the rubber is). So you want to measure your Outer...

This is an excellent thread. Hats off to the OP for the work he's putting in. I've never had a P38 but I really do like them, we saw a stunning one yesterday at Littlestone, the condition of it was fantastic, so much so that my son asked...

I had my L322 stuck in the air like this too. Question is, "what the Bl***** hell caused it?" From memory, I could deflate it with GapIID but not with the buttons and I had a lot of issues with the connector plug on the compressor itself...

Yup, after my day of off-roading a couple of weeks back the box was full of mud but the connector seal had done its job and everything was spotless inside. I'm convinced this is the CV joint as I've never ha a single issue with this until I...
