There is one of those newish MG SUV type things around here and the owner has bought all the individual letters to spell out
M O R R I S G A R A G E S across the bonnet. That's a lot of letters, goes almost edge to edge across it.
You'll end up with a white border around the frits (that is the official name for the little dots that join the black and clear glass BTW) and it'll look garbage like all aftermarket tints (in my humble but unswerving opinion of course). Factory...
finally here we are! not yet 100% but in the meantime it's on the road!! now I've disconnected the air conditioning compressor because it started to make noise, when I have time I'll disassemble it, the fabric of the headliner still needs to be...
I just go with a decent set of pads and disks and keep the wheels clean (like hell I do) but then we mostly do longer drives with less braking so the brakes last longer where we are. I had to change the Volvo pads after 8yr because they rusted...
I'm planning on a bit of a friction refresh, front discs have a little lip on them, pads are about 1/3 left everything and looks tired so I reckon it's time for new discs, pads, parking brake shoes and a fluid change as well as a bit of a caliber...
Fix it.
If you like the car, get a subframe and do it or get it done. I'm a firm believer in better the devil you know. Look seriously at the cost of this repair against the cost of changing the car, what will you get for yours? What faults...
In a bid to reduce my road tax and congestion charging bills, I've cleverly disguised the car as part of the Japanese Imperial Navy. Does anyone know how you get the diplomatic plates? eBay? Doesn't need to have the D dropped, I'm not that...
Looks like it, people tend to disappear once their problem is 'resolved'. In this case it was either fixed or "fixed" as suggested in the first post :-)
Get yourself a set of fibre loops and start unplugging the units and bypassing them. If it starts working, that one is/was your weak link. Unless it's the amplifier I think, fairly sure nothing works without that but someone will be along to...
I was a bit cross at lunch when I saw an old Vauxhall Corsa in the electric parking bay at my local Sainsbury's at lunch time. I assumed it was there because it's right by the shop door and all the parent and disabled bays were occupied with...
I'd definitely be looking at the wiring harness to the sensor. There's a couple of inches of wire from the connector plug itself that isn't taped in the loom, the plastic coating gets brittle over time and cracks then you get moisture ingress...
I scanned through this and my advice would be to definitely not buy one based entirely on the responses from the OP.
He's already decided it will be a nightmare so I don't see why you'd go into it like that. Hang on to your Subaru!
Hi mate I have a sdv6, with turbo issues started to remove in situation, but run across other issues so pulled motor in the end, but believe it can be done if by removing turbo, I watched a couple of YouTube vids where someone was doing this...
What are the codes that you got? I think you might be looking too deep into the issue here. We had similar on ours a few years back, it's not the always the sensor but quite often the wiring to it, there are repair kits available for that...
A friend of ours has a small issue with her D4 and it seems that the actuator is stuck. I've not worked on the turbos on our D4 (yet) so I'm wondering if any of you fine lot can offer any advice before I dismantle the wife's one to see what I'm...
I just fitted a 13 pin unit to the wife's D4, I bought it as "used but unopened" so effectively new and paid less than £80 for it. They are available new from around £120 -£130. I'd only use something like that on a late car and then code it so...
I had a couple of 530d E39s and they were both brilliant, only issue I had was a MAF on of them aside from that absolutely nothing. I will concede that the 530i was my favourite though, less torque, less fuel economy but far and away a better...
I think you can see what I am thinking but those horns take up a lot of space. There's just about room behind the fuel filter and above the chassis leg. Need to make up a bracket to attach the arm to the bulkhead. Compressor will sit inside the ring.
2.7PSI ain't gonna lift a bicycle let alone one of those :-)
Not sure there's too much in it between the iCarSoft and Launch but it will depend on which ones of course. I've got a few different ones.
The compressor should be running, I don't...
I'll call it: Split inlet manifold.
LR Dealer just going to throw parts at it and replace everything.
As Jon says, get a code reader and see what the car actually thinks the issue is. I'd put money on "P023D-22 Boost sensor correlation Bank...
Coming at it from a slightly different angle, I would expect it to show a compressor fault if it wasn't pumping air rather than the pressure is static when filling. Not had it personally but I know the air tanks can rot out on these (usually at...
Great response, I definitely asked for that one.........!
Truth be told, I have done nothing about it for weeks. Head in sand etc.
So much wrong with the old girl, all interlinked. Air Conditioning stopped a year ago, took it to main dealer...
