No new slave cylinder fitted and I've adjusted the pedal height. It appears as if the clutch isn't fully engaging & I've read that people have managed to solve this issue by adjusting the master cylinder push rod.

Apologies but I can't find anything definitive via the search. My 200tdi Defender has had an engine rebuild after cracking the block. A new clutch was fitted and I noticed the bite point was right at the top of the pedal. The clutch was slipping when warm so I adjusted the locknuts on the push...

My 92 200tdi Defender has the original engine. Recently replaced the thermostat with a new one that was rated at 88 C. The engine is now running hotter than it always has previously. I’ve checked and some people are saying the 200tdi should have an 82 C thermostat yet other suppliers insist the...

Loaded a couple of spades inot the back and spent a couple of hours digging trenches from our flooded lane across verges to ditches to allow the water to drain away. Doing our local councils job for them. Hoping for a council tax rebate.

I got fed up of not being able to see my defender gauges / speedo with standard bulbs & upgraded to these. No issues so far & an amazing difference.

Sorted out my indicator issue (on another thread). Hazards working but no indicators. After renewing every earth back & front as a precaution attention turned to the hazard switch (apparently a known issue). Still nothing doing. Out of desperation I pulled every fuse & found the fuel gauge fuse...

This has been driving me nuts all day. I’ve replaced faulty bulb & renewed all earths associated with that light and I also noticed a side light out so renewed those earth connections as well. I now have following issue:
All lights work
No indicators work at all using switch on steering column &...

V8 4.4 everyday of the week. I’ve got a 2014. Completely understressed engine at motorway cruising. Put your foot down hard though & it goes like the proverbial par-boiled moggy. Returns 32-35 mpg. As others have said the V6 has an abysmal reputation.

Any ideas on this one? When I turn right dash indicator lights show up nicely. When I turn left there’s just a faint glow. When I put hazards on there’s nothing. All indicators are working normally except the right one mounted on the wing. I’m assuming that may be the problem but can’t fathom...

Definitely at the top!
Guess I’ll have to the the old fashioned way. Any particular reason Lynall? I used the reverse bleeder as I’d used it for clutch on my Lightweight & worked a treat

A weird one. I’ve replaced the front brake callipers on my 92 200tdi. I clamped the front hoses off whilst changing them. I reverse bled the brakes & everything seemed ok on a short 2 mile drive. On a longer drive the next day the pedal suddenly got soft but pumping it brought it back. Next day...

Chassis was replaced a few years ago with a Richards Galv chassis whih was then treated with black Raptor paint. Its holding up well with no signs of corrosion anywhere. Bulkhead also galvanised and lower sections painted with white Raptor. All exposed bolt heads underneath the vehicle are...

I've coated the unthreaded section in copper slip and used locktite. Heads coated in thick Lanoguard grease

Nightmare job completed.I've had a couple of OEM front calipers for my 92' 110 200tdi for awhile waiting to fit them. The ones we fitted to mine a few years ago were Britpart itmes and I've had nothing but problems with the inboard pistons sticking. The Landrover has a hard life in salt water...
