Another idea would be them sun shades you can get in Halfords (and other places) to put on side windows to protect babies and such like. Quite often held on with little suction cups, easy to remove when you want to use the sunroof.

They are essentially the same as windscreen adhesive, so pretty robust.

Actually PU adhesive would probably be fine, in conjunction with rivets, being non structural. 2 pack panel glue is more for structural areas.

Here you go.. wandered out to the motor. Unsure how they are held in place but looks like 1 piece.

If they feel a bit tight when you loosen them squirt a bit of oil on the thread, do it up a bit then loosen a little bit more. Wind it in and out a little at a time and you should be ok.
