All you need is a jack, your wheel brace and a length of tube to go over the wheel brace. So long as the wheel brace is pointing towards the centre hub it works the same.

    Oil Sump Replacement 1.8K (Solved)

I've heard of guys using helicoil kits for that fault but don't know how successful it is.

Freelander 1 Andyfreelandy's get together, North Devon, September 13th

I have a holiday abroad coming up next week so can't get my head around much else until I get back but I would love to attend if I can make it work. I managed a day trip to Dublin last week with a round trip of around 225 miles so I know I can now go further than was realistic before but I need...

    Freelander 1 Freelander EV

I've been using a Freelander for this job since the sand pit was dug. Initially it was diesel but doing it with electric is much nicer. :)

    Freelander 1 Freelander EV

So after the prestige of driving on a road trip to Dublin it's back to the day job. Brother in law is a farmer and a few years ago he let us build a horse arena for our daughter Rachel in his field. This is how I level it.

    Freelander 1 Freelander EV

Yeah I don't really think much about 12V stuff when watching my range. I have a few more things to sort reliability wise and it would be nice to have a decent SOC meter as I currently just guestimate from the voltage. I took note of the MG SOC at various voltages and made a spreadsheet. 403...

    Oil Sump Replacement 1.8K (Solved)

I did this a few years ago but don't recall moving anything other than the exhaust. At the time I was replacing the head gasket and ran into problems trying to remove the head bolts due to oil crystallising in the bolt holes. I had to pull the sump and oil rail to get the bolts out.

    Freelander 1 Freelander EV

The chargers on the road to Dublin were very old so no surprise they were not reliable. Chademo is a dying protocol so less effort is put into supporting it although there are still a large number of Nissan Leafs out there. There were a couple of CCS chargers and a dozen or so Tesla chargers...

Unable to bleed brakes (SOLVED) - Custom Brake Thread

Three clicks is probably OK. Is the pedal higher than it should be?

    Freelander 1 Freelander EV

The world has spent the last 100 odd years building up a petrol and diesel refuelling infrastructure so it will take a while for EV's chargers to catch up. It doesn't help that most of us charge at home most of the time so a constant demand in many places is just not there. Add to that I'm using...

Unable to bleed brakes (SOLVED) - Custom Brake Thread

Did you adjust out the brake shoes? I normally bring them out until the wheel won't turn then back a notch. If the hand brake pulls up more than a few notches it would indicate they need adjusting.
