HELP! my disco vibrates quite strongly when I hit around 50mph I've recently had the timing belt done and was fine after, I have also had to replace the diesel injection pump and uplift pump after the old one threw a wobbly!. when I vibration/juddering started I was told to replace the rubber...

I have just had to replace the diesel injection pump on my 300tdi but It looks like I am running a bit rich. the pump I have just put on is the bosch pump but not really sure how to turn the mixture down, any help would be appreciated. Cheers

right!.....it looks like a combination of things..... although at the moment the mechanic doesn't think it's the head gasket... checked the fuel lift pump and that needed replacing as wasn't working properly.....didn't sort it!..... checked the injectors......all working fine!.... looks like...

thanks for that, I have checked all round for anything obvious and have just been round again after your advise but everything looks ok so may have to dig deeper

my first thoughts were 'head gasket', was just hoping it may have been something else (that was quicker and easier to fix :()

help needed if poss pls took my disco1 300TDI out for a spin yesterday and was running fine at first, changed down a gear while going through a village and when I put my foot back on the throttle there was a lack of power and it now sounds even more like an 'old tractor' than it did before...

thanks for all the advise, have already got new turret rings as heard they often snapped, also got new spring retainer clamps as wasn't sure if id need them. will be having a crack at it later in the week so may be back with a big 'HELP' post...:confused :)

hi, am going to attempt to lift my disco next week but it's my first time, have been told the front is the worst and longest to do. i will be doing it in the car park outside my house so any advice on equipment and tools that i will need would be most welcome thanks

i have alot of play in my steering while trying to drive in a straight line, anyone got any advise apart from 'only drive on bendy roads!' :D

already had problems with the ERG but bodged it for now! so may look at removal
