hi John i had a similar prob in mine, i have a jreg disco and when i replaced the reversing switch it was either always on or always off, when i went in through the cabin i.e. take off the plastic bit and sound proofing above the gearbox and u will see where the switch screws in take the switch...

cheers disco but i've looked at the switch under the body and there are no wires going to it there are just the empty spade connectors showing, i need to know where the wires come out of the body to try wand find them
