Hi chaps theres sometimes a knocking/grinding noise, it allways knocks on full lock but has now started this knocking/grinding sound aswell when turning and going straight but only on odd occasions been underneath thinking somthing was loss but nothing could this be the cv/uj ??

Just looked it up and it says it connects to the crank shaft. Mine doesnt its behind the front axle right next to the steering damper but isnt connected to anything except the bracket holding it. I will take a pic

How do i check c.v joints and uj joints. used to things with two wheels not things with four wheels :D

I know passenger side touches slightly on radius arm but knocking is on drivers side, But this dumb bell looking thing is touching steering arm/collumn

Rangie deffo only has hi/lo range. also just behind the steering arm/collum theres a large metal thing :o looks like a dumb bell weight if you know what i mean. Any ideas on what this is or what its ment to do.

Is there any possibility it could be down to the tyres (insa turbos). Has been lifted 2" front and 4" back could it be anything to do with this also

Yea it has has lever for hi/lo range thats it and year is 1991

Hi all could anyone help me. First of all when ever i slow down to about 10 mph theres vibrating from the front end/wheels which vibrates up through the dash(annoying) and also on full lock theres a knocking noise. Obviously this isnt good :( Any help would be great cheers.
