    Bilstein B6 Yellow

You are right there Littelwill, I should have stated my intentions. I do a lot of city and highway runs, but I also tend to go to the extreme when the mack ends. So I am looking for something which can cope well on either surfaces. I was looking at the Terrafirma ones, but a couple of friends...

    Bilstein B6 Yellow

Looking for a new set of shocks and I have heard that the Bilstein B6 Yellows are not that. Any opinions?

    Clutch, No clutch

and would they cause the peddle to rest all limp up against the fire-wall? Even when I lift the peddle, it remains limp and "life-less". If I remember correctly, the time when the release lever broke I did not loose any pressure in the peddle, just lost the clutch it's self.

    Clutch, No clutch

Hi all, first off, Happy New Year. Just got into my RR, started her up and then, as I went to apply the clutch, I noticed that the peddle was no where to be seen/felt! I shut down the motor and got out and took a look only to find the clutch peddle tucked up nicely against the floor/fire-wall...

Sorry Wammers, I am not following you.

    Front & Rear Diffs.

Can anybody tell me if you "swap" the rear diff over to the front? My front one is on it's way out and I was going to swap them over for a pair of LSDs, but as things are a tad tight I was wondering if I could replace the front one with the one I have in the rear (which is all ok) and then drop...

    BMW M57D30 engine?

It's got the ERG. Who sell them?

    BMW M57D30 engine?

Right then, after doing a tad of thinking (it hurt) what do you wise chaps think would be a better option: Swapping the engine or just getting my M51 remapped? Then my question is, if it's remapping, where, how, which are to be trusted and, finally, the price of such? (as an after thought...

    BMW M57D30 engine?

As mine is a manual it should not too much off a hassle then. I have just come across the following: "...DDE4 Short ecu loom This loom enables the use of the M57 BMW engine easily in a engine conversion for the range rover P38 The M57/306D1 engine fits easily into a P38 2.5 diesel, but the...

    BMW M57D30 engine?

I have heard that remapping can cause damage to the engine in that it tends to over heat etc. Is that so?

    BMW M57D30 engine?

Thanks Datatek, but alas that is not quite what I was hoping to hear. LOL

    BMW M57D30 engine?

This might sound a tad mad, but does anyone know if you can fit a BMW M57D30 into a '99 2.5DSE (manual)?

    Thermostats!?!

Do you mean why use coolant? Also, are you refering to using coolant on diesel?

    Thermostats!?!

Thanks Datatek. Will get the guy to look into it.

    Thermostats!?!

Ah, so now she is running at a good temp. That's good news, thanks Datatek. HGF???

    Thermostats!?!

Mmm, well, I had a new one popped in a few weeks ago and now she is running with the needle just under the half way mark (about the thickness of the needle under). Before, she was running between 1/4 and 1/3. Also I have noticed that hse is now getting through more water/coolant than before...

    Thermostats!?!

This might seem as a tad odd, but do the thermostats come with different values? By that I mean, are some rated/set to kick in at lower temps and other at higher? If so, what's what and where or how does one find out what's what?

    Arnott Gen III's or Springs

You are right about the sensors, but by what I can make out, only if you do the "2 inch" lift. As I will not be either changing the ride height values, nor adding any form of "lift" kit, the sensors shouldn't really hit any problems. The only time anything odd might happen is if and when I...

    Arnott Gen III's or Springs

Well, I have gone and made up my mind, Gen IIIs it will be plus +2 inch shockers just to take advantage of the extra length in the articulation. Not going to be bothering about doing any lift though as I think as they are they are good enough especially with the extra 2 inches. Should be...

    Arnott Gen III's or Springs

At the mo I have been popping in new ones every 3 to 4 years and I have heard that the Gen IIIs last a lot longer. In this thread someone mentioned 8 years between changing. Yep, I know and over here in Portugal the powers that be are right A-holes. By law, you even have to have things like...
