I have one odd hub on my S3 which has the little filler plug. I assumed it was off a S2. I'll probably replace it one day just for correctness and to match the others. Will wait for a wheel bearing to go or another reason to strip first.

I also bought the Rocky Mountain door tops. Solidly built - one of the best things I bought for it and they look original unless you look very closely.

Personally I would want it fixed so I could drive, check gearbox and know there aren't any other serious issues. As a buyer, if it can't be driven then it's in project territory as far as I'm concerned.
