Were the early type wheel hub drive flanges with the oil filler plug used on Series 1s and 2s?

Are they exactly the same for each model?

Thanks for any replies.

Can not say for sure but the only flanges with the screw I have seen are the solid round one's [ on my 2a ] Never seen them on the castlated type flanges Do not know what was on series one's.Cheers.

Thanks for the reply. The flange I have with the filler screw is a round type.

Am I right that some of the earlier Series 3s have round ones without the screw?

I recently replaced the oil seal on one of my Series 3 hubs, and also replaced the free wheel hubs with newly made round drive flanges. I noticed that the hub had an angled hole drilled into the centre of the hub which connects to one of the flange bolt holes. I assume that this was made as an alternative way to fill the hub with oil. I didn't put any sealant on that particular bolt and put a copper washer under the head instead. That way it can be removed to top up the hub oil.

I have one odd hub on my S3 which has the little filler plug. I assumed it was off a S2. I'll probably replace it one day just for correctness and to match the others. Will wait for a wheel bearing to go or another reason to strip first.
