Hi all just noticed I have a small weep from the core plug near the drain tap on the manifold side of the block. My question can this bugger be changed with the engine in situ? Cheers. Dave.

As far as I know, the only one that requires engine out is the one on the back of the head.

People have been known to cut a hole in the bulkhead to change that one.

My house alarm engineer used to be an agricultural engineer and looked after the vehicles in a large estate which had several Land Rovers. He confirmed the same story to me that they would use a hole cutter to make a suitable hole in the bulkhead to enable them to replace the rear core plug. The said hole would then have a large bung / grommet in it or a plate screwed over to cover it.

You wouldn't want to drill the hole in the wrong place though!
