No it's not just you. Anything Goes was a good idea at the start but it's certainly pushed to the bounds, and beyond, by some people. I read but I rarely contribute.

Loss of drive on 2.5 Auto

Have you tried all gear positions including low range? Does the car rock as if it's selecting a gear and trying to drive? Does the engine rev whilst a gear is selected? Does the dash show the correct gear selected? Has he taken the handbrake off? :D As for the wipers that could be many...

    Wipac LEDS

LEDs only work if the current is running the right way. If you can somehow reverse the wiring you might find that they work. If all else fails cut the cables, swap them over and rejoin them. Try one and see what happens. I had to do all four for another member on here. A bit of soldering and...

    Help

Your BECM, the main brain for the car, is under the driver's seat. If it gets damp you get all sorts of interesting faults. If ignored you get a dead car.

    GEARBOX woes

What are you trying to test? If it's a switch of some sort then it hardly matters. Switch open - meter shows infinity in some form, switch closed - meter shows zero or b****y close to it.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Have you checked out the Aldi offer this week. Three year warranty and a decent length hose. I'm tempted because it's about the same price to get an extension hose for my Karcher!

    SRS airbag light on dashboard

As OVAL said, if you're lucky, it's a poor connection. If it's a newish Rangie you should have airbags in the seats and the underseat connectors can be fragile. All Rangies have a bag in the steering wheel connected through the rotary coupler. All the wiring is yellow. BE CAREFUL - remember...

Solenoid contacts are a known failure. You can buy a kit and refurb it.
