Has anyone fitted a electronic boost controller to a defender 300tdi..? Be interested how it went and if there are any gains?

Thanks for the replies. It's a 1994 300tdi with a r380 box. I checked the ujs and they are ok.. I did put a bar in to check movement .. did all seem ok. If I'm gentle on the gear change there's no knock..

Thanks mate - its the spines in the propshaft i checked - also checked the A frame ball joint - that seemed to be ok

I've had a bit of a search here but can't find the answer. I've got a knock when changing gear from the back. Jacked the rear up and found there is play in the splines let the landy down and it dissapears.. no slack.. could this be the knocking or should I go for the half shafts ?

still looking for these if anyone has them?

ive recently bought a set of compomotive wheels without any nut - whoops..! i dont really want to spend 70 quid on a new set of nuts, does anyone have a set - or a set of wheels with tyres, including nuts?

after that set back ive now replaced the swivel, the CV joint, drop arm ball joint, steering damper and now ive started on the mods..

got to the end of the repair, now it seems like the other radius need a new seal, but as i now know the ball ache its all been i'll just undo the swivel and hope for the best

well it looks like i may well have found the problem seems that there was no lubrication in the CV joint.

ta muchly - i gotta say i did have a bit of a chuckle when i saw dennis balls jiggling about ..

ive checked both sides now and the drivers side is ok, the passenger side swivel is ok, i will refill this though. It seems that the reason for the failure is that the swivel is pitted and lost all the grease, so what i think i need is a CV joint and the swivel kit the old inner part of the CV...

well it looks like i may well have found the problem no its time to see how much damage there is..!

Thanks Paul - do you know of anywhere were i can get information on how to diagnose the problem with the front axle - jacked it up and both wheels move freely without moving the prop (ive removed the prop) cheers
