I recently bought a new front prop for SWMBO's D1 - the original had thrown a balance weight..... Thing is, the new one was wrong.... too short, not enough movement in the sliding member ( ooh err matron )..... and not enough articulation in the UJ flanges. IOW, it would have bottomed out at full suspension travel ( or come apart ), and probably knocked like a good un too - it was actually impossible to fit with the vehicle on a two post lift, it was that short!! ...... so make sure you check any new one against the old one before you fit it. The supplier refunded me, but, this left me with no front prop !!!

I ended up measuring the missing weight, and welding a replacement on, as a bit of a bodge, really... but its worked, and order has been restored.
