Well, another update, got the rear main oil seal done, put the tdi lump all back together and managed to get it in the disco, and the mounts all welded in, will start plumbing it all in tomorrow, here are a couple of pics :dance:

Quick update, again not had alot of time on this thanks to a hectic work schedule, but i've managed to change the timing belt on the tdi lump, replace the rocker cover gasket and water pump gasket, all thats left is the rear main oil seal then its ready to put into the disco, can't wait to get...

do you still have both front indicators available?

how much for both the front indicators posted to the south east mate?

My mpi wasn't to bad till the engine let go i only paid £400 for it, i've pulled my brothers 90 out of some sticky situations with it no problem, they are a bit slow on the road but off road it wasn't bad at all, but am now converting it to tdi as i filled the original engine up with water off...

I'm sure it is but just be aware it is alot of work I managed to get the gear boxes all swapped over today, have had to call it a day as it started ****ing down, will start on the engine and mounts tomorrow after i've finished work, pretty pleased with how its gone so far

Well after a couple of days of not being able to do very much due to other commitments, managed to get the tdi lump out last night, gonna have a good crack at it today, hoping to get the gearboxes swapped over and start prepping the tdi lump to go back into the mpi Will update later

Well i started the conversion today after work, got the mpi all ready to literally lift out the engine bay, not bad for 2 hours work, will be doing some more over the weekend, cant wait to get it done

Hi all, after blowing up the engine in the mpi disco ive been offered a cheap 200 tdi, gonna swap the engines over, can anyone tell me of any problems to expect or any other issues, any help greatly appreciated Cheers in advance

Thanks for the replys chaps, had a block/head gasket test done today and all is good with that, checked the water pump by taking one of the small hoses of the top of the rad and giving the engine a rev and it squirted out faster with more revs so that seems ok, took the rad out and it is missing...

After all the work ive already done on the disco it has developed a habit of over heating, the rad, fan etc is all good, ive taken the thermostat out to see if that helped, but no difference really, theres no sign of head gasket failure, any one could help would be great, its a 2 litre 95 mpi...

After i managed to get the lift kit, new front and rear bumpers and wheels on the disco i took it out for an off road play day, when i got home noticed that there was engine oil leaking from the gear box and the fan belt guide pulley bearing had totally destroyed itself, so i repaired the pulley...

Can anyone help?

Hi all, got a major oil leak from the rear main shaft oil seal of the engine into the gearbox on my n reg mpi disco, was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a part number or someone that could get me a new one, any help greatly appreciated Cheers in advance

Fitted the 2.5" lift kit and wheels and tyres to the disco today but have a little niggling problem, the wheels are rubbing on the front trailing arms on full lock, just wondered if there was any way of curing this Cheers in advance

Acquired some off road tyres and wheels and a 2.5" lift kit for the disco, ready for fitting on saturday, along with some home made rock sliders here are some pics

This is what i managed to do to my disco today was a great day though and although ive got some repairs to do have had great fun in the disco again:)
