    P38A Gems v's Thor

Saint V8 has done an excellent HOW TO when he was sorting his gems oil pump, explains all in there, but as Wammers has said its not difficult, done mine on my Thor took no more than a couple of hours.

Yes gentlemen you may borrow the wife to wiggle your pipes, she will be wearing latex gloves as not to get oil under her finger nails plus I don't know where you lot have been, now do you require her in fetching overalls or the usuall stockings and basque, for a few quid she may blow through...

Oh no. What have I done?

Hi, there is a How To guide at the top of the page on O rings, really are simple to do. Did mine in about an hour, as Dave mentions you will require a long screwdriver to reach screw and I found it easier to get the wife to wiggle my pipes in the engine bay when sliding out pipes to get to O...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I think a lot of recovery drivers are meat heads and don't know how to take care of the vehicles they are recovering. When I had my P38 recovered when the hose split the AA man was also a P38 owner and treated mine with kids gloves, was well impressed.

    New P38 Owner

Nice looking motor. Is it still on air or coiled. As Adam says get a disc of the bay or it could be the sat nav drive in the boot, remove the the drive to make sure it's plugged in, make sure the there is no red light on the front before removal.

P38 Heater inlet hoses - aftermarket or OEM?

I replaced a heater inlet hose once with a cheapo but found that when engine got really hot like when towing my caravan it would weep slightly because I think they go to soft, so have replaced ALL hoses with OEM, much better quality .
