Not sure on the colour but when I traced it back near enough the top rear of gearbox was the plug/connector for the reverse lamp.

No it was bundle of wires which included the the reverse lamp I think

I removed the tunnel cover a few days ago as I don't have any reverse lights and my diff lock was seized. I managed to get the difflock to move but no light on dash, but what I did notice was half the loom that runs over the gearbox has corroded and is no longer there (see photo). I believe this...

Its not a waste of 3k if it is what it should be and you treat it as a project and you learn as you're going - that's the fun bit. I've built a couple of kit cars and learnt loads doing it and I'd always wanted a 90 so bought one as an on-going project

I'm looking at buying a 90 but can't decide on a TD5 or 300tdi. I've seen a nice TD5 county on a y plate but it's 9 gand. Is this a good price for a TD5? or should I hold out for a 300tdi?? Cheers, Neil
