Disco 2 TD5 Battery Terminal Clamps - What To Get?

Good to know, thanks. I was worried those ones looked a bit small for the currents involved.

Disco 2 TD5 Battery Terminal Clamps - What To Get?

I didn't expect this to be a difficult thing to find, and yet no matter where I look and what I search, all that seems to come up are flimsy looking options, mostly from AliExpress and Temu. I've had a few occasions recently where out of the blue I just have no power; could be unable to even...

Please Help - No Crank No Start

Never mind, it was fuse 13. Either I hadn't checked well enough (probably) or it went while I've been trying to fix. Oh well, the IDM was corroded, so it's good that I caught that at least.

Please Help - No Crank No Start

Well I hope you're right. The data link is fine, as are the two obvious black ground cables to BCU and IDM; are there any others? I'm trying to work out which are the power feeds and how to test those. Symptoms are six bongs on ignition II, crossed B in display, no crank. Also no central...

Please Help - No Crank No Start

There's no way for me to actually check if the BCU and IDM are actually OK, though, is there? I'm worried that plugging the BCU back in with a bad IDM (assuming that was the issue) might have fried it all over again.

Tried but its too dark now. Ugh.

Please Help - No Crank No Start

No dice, still exactly the same problem. Six dings and crossed B in the display. I really don't understand what could be the problem now, & I'm getting a bit desperate for a solution 😬

It's the exact same part number, I can even see it stamped on the side in the ebay listing pictures, and the seller claims tested so fingers crossed.

Please Help - No Crank No Start

Oh noooo! I've got my own crossed B, and I'm panicking a bit as I need the car on Monday! I know what kicked it off - I was a moron and wasn't careful enough drilling in my wheel well; caught a couple of wires from the loom right under the main fusebox (red/orange, yellow/grey, and ground). Car...

Disco 2 What fixings to use for the wheel arch liners?

Anyone know what the right fixings are for the wheel arch liners om the D2? A bunch of stuff on mine is very much in a "whatever works" state, and I'd like to do things properly, or at least make a proper decision on stuff as I'm fixing up. At present the outer row has oversized screws and...

    Disco 2 Footwell Leak Tracing

Investigations continue. I've replaced the rubber door strap seals with some neoprene that I cut to fit, and also had the whole lower windscreen cowl off, cleaned things up, and reassembled. I suspect the rubbers at each end were badly positioned, plus one of the screws and the debris filter...

The base of the centre console cubby was cracking all around the screw holes from being leant on over and over, so I printed a shim to actually support the whole thing not only the post holes. While I was at it I also replaced the missing door trim support posts.

    Disco 2 Footwell Leak Tracing

Discovered (boom boom) that the front carpets are drenched underneath - but no signs of it above. No clue how long they've been like that. I've got the carpets out and drying in the lovely sun, so now I need to get to tracing where its all got in from. Could do with help not only where, but more...

Other what have u done on ur disco today

Pulled the door runners out to touch up, and discovered the carpet in both footwells was drenched underneath. Hours later I have the carpets out, and now the fun of leak tracing begins. Frustratingly it's not as simple as the A pillar drain holes, they seem fine. But fortunately it's not red, so...

INSURANCE FOR DISCO 2 - WHY SO MUCH?

Oh, I did loads of comparisons and calls, this really was the best going. The renewal was £620 before I phoned up; and even that was better than I'd been quoted anywhere else already.

Disco 2 What bolts for front brake disc mud shields?

Plan to fit new mud shields this week, and I'm assuming the bolts will be shot (assuming I can even get them out). What will I need by way of replacements? While at it, I'll be needing to remove the callipers and discs to get at them, right? Anything there I should be replacing once it's been...
